SPECJAL 45 bentonite
SPECJAL 45 bentonite is used in construction as a component of stabilising fluids for slurry walls. For its production, high quality bentonite with a high content of montmorillonite is used.
Slurries made from SPECJAL 45 bentonite have excellent rheological and thixotropic properties, which ensure very good stabilisation of trenches. Thanks to a high degree of thixotropy the slurries keep the grains of soil suspended, reinforcing the trench walls.
Rheological parameters can be modified by changing the concentration of bentonite in a slurry, making SPECJAL 45 very convenient since its concentration can be adjusted to the local ground-water conditions.
